E-Mail Client Configuration

Please note the settings below only apply to BDH Technology's standard e-mail hosting packages and do not apply to the hosted Exchange service.  Please contact us for details on setting up hosted Exchange.

Once your domain has been setup and the e-mail address configured you can setup your e-mail clients to connect to your e-mail server and download messages, instead of using the webmail interface.

General Settings

Standard configuration instructions:

Incoming Mail (POP3) Server - requires SSL: pop.bdhtek.com
Use SSL: Yes
Port: 995
Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server - requires TLS or SSL: smtp.bdhtek.com
Use Authentication: Yes
Port for TLS/STARTTLS: 587
Port for SSL: 465
Server timeouts Greater than 1 minute, we recommend 5
Full Name or Display Name: [your name]
Account Name or User Name: your full email address (including @your_domain.com)
Email Address: your email address (username@your_domain.com)
Password: your password

We have provided steps for configuring many common types of e-mail clients.  If you are unsure of what program or version you have you can select 'About' from the 'Help' menu of the program.
